 In April 2008, FIH announced plans to open a South Florida Design Center. The center will be a leading edge technology design center and be focused on designing and developing Linux based Smartphones for the GSM/3G and CDMA cellular phone markets.
Key areas of focus will be:
‧ Open Software Platforms such as Linux, Java, OpenGL
‧ Browsers providing full internet experiences with Web Kit, Plug-In support
‧ 3G, CDMA, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS
‧ Touch Screen, QWERTY, haptics
